KIDS INTRO TO WHEEL

Perfect for kids (9-12 year olds) to start their love of pottery! Students will have the opportunity to work on both the wheel and learn to hand build during these 2 hour classes. We will be focusing on wheel throwing basics, building a strong foundation of knowledge and establishing good habits in the studio. 6 week classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Session 1: Cups, Cups, Cups!

This class will focus on making cups, and that means using the wheel and hand building techniques that will challenge and engage! The class will help students build a strong foundation of ceramic knowledge and establish good habits in the studio. 

This class requires no previous clay experience. It is taught in a small setting with plenty of one on one instruction time. Your class fee includes all instruction, use of equipment, clay, tools, glaze, and all firing costs.

December 2-16; January 6-20 Time: 4:30pm - 6pm

Session 2: Time to Bowl!

This class will focus on making bowls, both on the wheel and off. Think serving bowl, ice cream bowl, animal bowl, rice bowl, and on and on! The class will help students build a strong foundation of ceramic knowledge and establish good habits in the studio.

This class requires no previous clay experience. It is taught in a small setting with plenty of one on one instruction time. Your class fee includes all instruction, use of equipment, clay, tools, glaze, and all firing costs.

December 6-20; January 3-17 Time: 10:30am - 12pm
